Sault Police paid a visit this week to an “unkempt property” on Pentagon Boulevard to enforce a clean-up order issued by the city’s bylaw department.
The property — 29 Pentagon Blvd. — was the target of the Integrated Municipal Enforcement Team (IMET), a partnership between multiple agencies whose mandate is “to develop action plans to address a variety of community issues and concerns.”
Officers attended the property on Wednesday June 7 “to keep the peace while by-law conducted a clean-up effort of the property,” says a news release from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. “Clean-up of the property took place without incident.”
Sault Police have been involved in 6 IMET-related calls so far this year.
IMET is a partnership with Sault Police, Sault Fire Services, City of Sault Ste. Marie Building and By-Law, other local enforcement agencies, as well as the Housing Services division of the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board.
