Sault Ste. Marie Police say they've arrested someone for a plethora of crimes after an incident that took place earlier this week.
Police say they responded to a call on Sunday after the accused was caught trying to leave a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road with unpaid items. When approached by security, the accused allegedly threatened them with a syringe and security then called police.
When searching the accused after his arrest, police say they found him to be in possession of a syringe and the item taken from the business.
As a result Michael Huluk, 23, was arrested and charged with:
- assault with a weapon,
- uttering threats,
- theft under $5000; and
- breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 26.
