City Police officers arrested two males early Saturday morning on unrelated domestic related matters.The first incident involved a 22-year-old male allegedly being unlawfully in a dwelling of a female known to him. He also stole a phone, damaged a lock and breached 2 conditions of a recognizance he was on to not be at that residence and failing to notify City Police of his change of address.
In the second incident, it is alleged a 36-year-old male assaulted his wife after an argument in their residence. Both males will be appearing in Bail Court on November 24.
It is alleged that 55-year-old Victor Duffield of John St. attended Canadian Tire earlier today and left the store without paying for a pair of gloves but was apprehended by store security who in turn contacted City Police. Mr. Duffield was charged with theft and will be appearing in Provincial Court on December 22.
On the 21 November 2014 officers from Patrol Services arrested a 35-year-old male for five domestic assaults from 2008 until present upon his female partner. These incidents consisted of punching her in the face area on a number of occasions. He will appear in WASH court on the 22 November 2014.
On the 22 November 2014 officers from Patrol Services located and arrested Samantha Dunlop, 25 years of Clearview Lane for outstanding warrants. She will appear in WASH court on the 22 November 2014.
On November 21, 2014 at 7 am, police officers arrested and charged Kevin Caswell, age 19 of no fixed address, with possession of property obtained by crime and possession of break in instruments. He was found in possession of a car CD/DVD player. At the time of his arrest he had items that could be used to break in with. He will appear in bail court on November 21, 2014.
On November 21, 2014 at 11:14 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Robert Desbois, age 49 of East Balfour Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, with theft under $5,000 and assault. It is alleged that on October 16 he shoplifted items from No Frills at 519 Korah Rd. He then assaulted a person who tried to stop him. He will appear in court on December 29.
