19 year old Timothy Berkenbosch of 1130 Allens Side Road was arrested early this morning by City Police Officers and charged with trespassing by night and impaired driving. It is alleged Mr. Berkenbosch was observed exiting the driver’s side of his vehicle and fled from the police. He was located a short distance away and found to be in an intoxicated state. A subsequent Intoxilyzer test was administered to the accused and the results of those tests showed him to have more than 80 milliliters of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood. Mr. Berkenbosch will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 10 2013.
A 42 year old female was arrested and charged by City Police Officers this afternoon with one count of assault and 4 counts of threatening. It is alleged the woman confronted an ex boyfriend at a west end residence and assaulted him by punching him in the head and face area. While there, she threatened to have other people beat him up and also threatened to kill 3 other persons who were in the residence. The accused will be appearing in WASH Court tomorrow morning.
A 45 year old male was arrested earlier this morning after it was alleged he assaulted his common law girlfriend by grabbing her by the neck and then taking her truck without her permission. The offence occurred at a centrally located residence on top of the hill and then the accused drove to an east end residence where he was picked up by Police. He will be appearing in WASH Court tomorrow as well.

28 year old Mark Strain of 635 Wellington St. East apartment #3 and 19 year old Tanya Chakasim of 29 Raymond Street have both been arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation. On the 3rd of May 2013 at approximately 8:40 p.m., police attended 635 Wellington Street East on a follow-up investigation regarding a break and enter which occurred on the 1st of May 2013 in that building. During the police investigation property was found at the apartment of accused Mark Strain matching complainant's property. Police were invited inside the accused's residence and observed female jewelry in a garbage box. Tanya Chakasim who was present, attempted to claim the jewelry was hers. This jewelry was subsequently identified as that stolen in the break and enter. Strain has been held for WASH (Weekend and Statutory Holiday) court pending bail court on Monday and Chakasim will appear in court on 10 June 2013.
