THREE CHURCHES BROKEN INTO
City police report three break and enters at downtown churches this morning. St. Likes Cathedral, Central United, and Westminster churches were all broken into and items such as TVs and VCRs were stolen.

Police apprehended Mark Steve Martin, age 30, of Albert Street East and recovered most of the stolen property. He has been charged with 2 counts of break and enter, 1 count of break and enter with intent, 1 attempted break and enter and possession of stolen property.

TREACHEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS TODAY
City police are asking motorists to stay off city streets except in emergencies. Flooding is occurring in various parts of the city because storm drains are still frozen and are unable to handle the rain we are experiencing. Police say the conditions are treacherous and unnecessary travel on city streets should be avoided.
