At 11:50 yesterday, Sault Police Officers were called to St. Mary’s High School to investigate an assault-with-weapon complaint.

Police say that a student sprayed an aerosol container towards two students while igniting the spray. This resulted in the two victims being burned. One student received minor burns and received medical attention at the hospital.

A 14-year-old youth has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.

The youth is being held for bail court on Monday.

DRUG BUST
City police executed drug warrants last night and arrested four people. The investigation is still underway so police are not saying much this morning. More information will be released on Monday morning.

IMPAIRED CHARGES
City police arrested and charged two drivers with being impaired last night. This comes as statistics for impaired arrests have indicated a decline over several years. Police expect to identify the drivers charged on Monday morning.
