QUIET NIGHT EXCEPT FOR THE BEARS City police had a very quiet night last night. There was one fender-bender in the Prince Lake area. Police also responded to four bear sightings. At 11:15 p.m. yesterday a bear was seen in the Industrial Park.
QUIET NIGHT EXCEPT FOR THE BEARS
City police had a very quiet night last night. There was one fender-bender in the Prince Lake area. Police also responded to four bear sightings. At 11:15 p.m. yesterday a bear was seen in the Industrial Park. At 5:00 this morning, a bear was prowling around the Finnish Rest Home on North Street. Another was reported at 5:52 a.m. today on the back deck of a home in the Fort Creek area. The bear was persistent because it returned to the same home at 6:47 this morning.

MORE CHARGES LAID
Late Thursday evening at 10:50, police arrested 46-year-old Craig Remeau of Colorado Springs for impaired driving. Investigations resulting from the arrest led to further charges. It was learned that he was in possession of a stolen vehicle, a stolen firearm and in possession of a restricted firearm. He appeared in bail court yesterday afternoon.
