Sometime between December 31 and January 2nd unknown culprits broke into a business in the 100 block of Bruce St. Entry was gained through a rear window and stole various items of vintage jewelry.
A vehicle was entered into in the 800 Block of Queen Street East overnight. A large bag of hockey equipment was stolen from the vehicle.
On January 1, 2016 City Police attended in the area of Albert Street East regarding a 59 year old male that allegedly had made threats to shoot police. The threats were made directly to City Police by telephone. Police apprehended the accused at an Albert Street address and arrested him for threatening death. The accused Paul David Nicholson is scheduled to appear in court on February 8, 2016 at 9:00 am.
On January 2, 2016 City Police located a 28 year old female in the area of the Market Mall on Second Line West. The female was known to the officers. A check of the female revealed an outstanding warrant for breach of probation X 2. Samantha Barrett was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on February 2, 2016 at 9:00 am.
