City police had a very busy night. Sergeant Steve Train reports 12 in the cells awaiting WASH court this morning.
City police made a total of 16 arrests last night. It was so busy, many officers skipped lunch and breaks. Two were arrested for breaching bail conditions. There were several assaults.
Police answered a call at 130 East Street and arrested Michael Casey, age 41, for threatening, assault with a weapon, and being in a dwelling unlawfully. The disagreement started with an eviction notice. There were no serious injuries.
