A Sault Ste. Marie man is facing multiple charges including speeding and impaired driving.
Ontario Provincial Police say around 1 a.m. Sunday, officers on patrol spotted a speeding vehicle heading east on McNabb Street.
They pulled the vehicle over, and while speaking with the driver, suspected alcohol had been consumed.
OPP say the driver refused to provide a breath sample and was taken to the Sault Ste. Marie detachment.
Matthew Dumoulin, 33, of Sault Ste. Marie has been charged with:
- Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
- Operation While Impaired-Alcohol and Drugs
- Speeding
- Fail to Have Insurance Card
- Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
In addition, his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle has been impounded for a week.
