Police respond to overnight robbery call

Shortly before 1 a.m., city police responded to call from a business in the 1200 block of Wellington St. East for a report of a robbery.

The employee of the business alleged that a woman entered the business, grabbed a box cutter off a store counter and demanded cigarettes and money. It is alleged that the woman walked behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as well as approximately $750 worth of cigarettes and fled the scene. 

Around 3:15 a.m., police located a woman that matched the description of the person from the robbery who was ultimately arrested.

26-year-old Darolyn Anderson is facing charges of robbery and possession of stolen property.
