Police on scene at Sault Area Hospital

Police are asking the public to avoid the area

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently involved in an active scene in the area of Sault Area Hospital, says police spokesman Lincoln Louttit.

"This is an active investigation and we urge community members to avoid the area unless they require urgent medical care."

Unconfirmed reports are that police are on scene because of a bomb threat at the hospital.
