A 44-year-old faces multiple charges after a morning break-and-enter downtown over the weekend.
In a news release issued today, Sault Police say they were dispatched around 7 a.m. Saturday to a multi-unit residential building in the 600 block of Bay Street. A suspect was located and arrested, police say.
A subsequent search of the accused turned up approximately one gram of suspected fentanyl, police allege.
Allen Waboose is charged with:
- Break and enter – Commit indictable offence
- Possession of schedule I substance
Waboose was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on March 25, 2024.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Waboose is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
