An individual is facing undisclosed charges after barricading themselves in a west-end residence Wednesday.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a call regarding a barricaded person on Pretoria Hill at approximately 5 p.m. Police spokesperson Lincoln Louttit informs SooToday that members of patrol services, investigations services and emergency services unit responded to the call. The immediate area was blocked off to the public.
The individual was taken into custody just before 8 p.m.
"Charges were laid, but due to the nature of the incident details will not be released," Louttit said.
