The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Grace Street on the evening of Sept. 30.
Reached for comment on Monday, department spokesperson Lincoln Louttit told SooToday a suspect has not yet been apprehended.
Officers responded to the area of Elgin and Grace Streets at approximately 8 p.m. and found a person with a gunshot wound, a news release says.
The victim suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The occurrence remains under investigation and Police believe this to be an isolated incident. No arrest has yet been made.
