Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has confirmed that one of its own has been disciplined after hosting a gathering sometime around the new year.
Spokesperson Lincoln Louttit declined to offer specifics on the the professional standards bureau investigation, which concluded "recently."
“The member has been disciplined based on the information and evidence available,” he told SooToday.
Asked to what extent the member was disciplined, Louttit replied, “it was an internal investigation, and the member was disciplined based on the information and evidence available.”
Police wouldn’t confirm what department the employee worked in, or exactly when the gathering took place, only saying that the gathering took place “around the new year.”
