Police briefly close Albert Street tonight

There was also a police presence at the East Street Residence

Sault Ste. Marie Police briefly shut down Albert Street during the afternoon commute Wednesday.

Officers had the road closed east of Bruce Street.

The road reopened at around 5:45 p.m.

There was also a police presence at the East Street Residence at that time.

It's not known if the two incidents were related.
