Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested James Bolan last night, four days after "an error of some kind" led to his release from the courthouse.

Police released few details about the arrest and still haven't said how Bolan was released in the first place. Police said on Monday that officers are investigating the 'erroneous' release.

Bolan faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and unlawfully in a dwelling in relation to a May, 2019 incident on James Street.

Police said an attack left a victim hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
