A 29-year-old has been arrested and charged with break and enter after officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Patrol Services unit were called to a break and enter in progress in the 1800 block of Third Line yesterday morning.

Around 9 a.m., police responded to the call and, while going to the scene, saw a person who matched the description provided riding a bicycle eastbound on Second Line West near the intersecion of Carpin Beach Road.

Police say that, upon further investigation, the person was allegedly in possession of items reported stolen from the residence.

Jeffrey Humphries has been charged with break and enter as a result of the investigation and is scheduled to appear in court at the end of October.
