A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old randomly attacked two strangers outside their Parkland Crescent homes on Monday afternoon, say police.

Police found the youths nearby and arrested them. Sault Police does not include the gender of accused in their news releases.

The 16-year-old was wanted on 'several' other warrants, including two for recent assaults. One was a May 2 assault in which a youth was punched, kicked and stomped at a local high school. The second assault happened on May 11 in which a youth was punched and stomped on Foster Drive.

The 16-year-old was charged with four counts of assault, one count of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count of failing to comply with an appearance notice.

The 15-year-old was charged with two counts of assault.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 20.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
