An individual has been taken into custody after members of Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to firearm-related call for service on Elliott Road Feb. 15, resulting in a heavy police presence in the area.
Officers attended the 0-100 block of Elliott Road just after 5:33 p.m., according to a news release.
Police say officers with investigation services executed a search warrant at a residence in the area the following morning.
Officers are no longer on scene. The investigation is ongoing.
The individual is being held pending a bail hearing.
