One charged after employee gets struck in the face, police say

On April 1, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37-year-old Justin St. Amour of Albert Street West for assault. 

It’s alleged the accused attended a residence in the west end of the city and while an employee was repairing something inside, he stole a key from the door. When asked about the key by the employee it’s alleged the accused struck him in the face. 

Police were called and later found the accused and took him into custody. He is charged with one count of assault and one count of theft under $5,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 6, 2019.
