On the 20th of September a homeowner on Kohler Street was working inside their residence. They left their doors unlocked and also had the music turned up loud. A short time later the homeowner noted that their cell phone had been stolen from the residence.

On the 22nd of September a resident on Abbott Street let a person into their residence to use the washroom. Sometime after the person left the homeowner realized that their HP laptop was missing.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to remind homeowners to be mindful while in their homes. If you are working in the home, or in the back yard, ensure your doors are locked. It only takes a minute for a thief to open a door and quickly remove items of value. In addition, never let a person you don’t know well into your home.
