On September 14, 2015 at just after midnight, city police received a call regarding a male going through vehicles in the Laura street area. Officers attending arrested a 22 year old male. He was discovered with property from another theft in the area. Additionally, the male is alleged to have stolen cigarettes on September 13th from a confectionary store on Korah rd. The male faces three counts of theft under $5000.00, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000.00, and one count of trespass by night. He will be appearing in bail court on September 14, 2015 at 10:00 A.M.
As a result of further investigation, the male was charged with two counts of theft under $5000.00 from the 8 September, 2015 from a theft of cigarettes from a west end gas bar and a west end confectionary store. On this date, the accused attempted to use a stolen credit card and has been charged with possession of stolen property for that offence.
