People To Appear in Bail Court Today 1) A 43-year old male was arrested on the 20th of October and charged with one count of assault, three counts of breach of a release order and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm.
People To Appear in Bail Court Today

1) A 43-year old male was arrested on the 20th of October and charged with one count of assault, three counts of breach of a release order and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused was with this common law wife in the downtown area in the late evening hours and they got into an argument. It is alleged that the male punched the female in the face and also threatened to kill her. Officers arrived and subsequently arrested the male and charged him. At the time of the offence he was on conditions not to communicate with the female and not to consume alcohol. The female received medical attention for her injuries.

2) A 51-year old female was arrested and charged by City Police in the late evening hours of the 20th of October with one count of breach of a release order. It is alleged that the accused and her common law husband got into an argument in the downtown area and police were called. At the time of the offence the accused was on conditions not to communicate with the male.

3) A 46-year old male was arrested on the 20th of October in the early evening hours and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the male assaulted his ex-wife by pushing her. The incident occurred in the downtown area.

4) 43-year old Michael Casey of 1A-181 Elgin Street was arrested on the 21st of October in the early morning hours and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for taking two packages of Advil and not paying for them from a Macs Mart.

5) A 38-year old male was arrested on the 20th of October in the early morning hours and charged with one count of assault, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the male assaulted his girlfriend by punching her in the face and by pulling out the victims hair. It is alleged that the accused also held a steel pipe to the victims throat and put pressure on it making it difficult for the victim to breath. It is further alleged that accused threatened to kill the victim. At the time of the offences the accused was on a release document with conditions not to molest, harass or annoy the victim. The incident occurred in the residence in the downtown area.

6) A 48-year old male was arrested on the 21st of October and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common law wife by grabbing her by the throat and pushing the victim. It is further alleged that the accused pushed a second female who was also in the couples west end residence at the time of the assault.

7) 33-year old Jody Gibson (m) of 245 St. Georges Avenue East was arrested on the 22nd of October and charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused assaulted another male known to him by punching and kicking the victim. The accused also threatened to kill a female who was in the downtown residence where the assault took place.

8) 29-year old Kimberly Danz (m) of no fixed address was arrested on the 21st of October in the evening hours and charged with one count of assault, one count of cause a disturbance by being drunk, one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of assault police. Just before 10 pm City Police attended at a downtown drinking establishment after receiving a call of a fight. It is alleged that the accused assaulted another male patron of the bar by punching the victim in the face. When police arrived the accused was outside causing a disturbance. The accused was placed under arrest and transported to the police station. While in the holding cells it is alleged that the accused urinated on the cell walls and threw feces at the cell door as well as smearing it on the walls. It is further alleged that when officers attended in the cell area the accused spit in the face of one of the officers.

Three males were arrested for drinking and driving related offences
1) 39-year old Troy Frayn of 18 Wayne Court was involved in a motor vehicle collision on the 20th of October just before midnight. A pickup truck operated by a 17-year old female was northbound on Great Northern Road and Second Line West and was stopped at the red light. It is alleged that a car operated by the accused was northbound on Great Northern Road and ran into the back of the pickup truck. Both drivers were taken to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles were severely damaged. Mr. Frayn has been charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. He will appear in court on November 28th.

2) 20-year old Laurence Foreman of 480 Shannon Road was arrested on the 21st of October and charged with one count of consume over the legal limit and one count of impaired driving. Just before 2:30 am a citizen contacted City Police to report a possible impaired driver. Officers stopped the vehicle on North Street at St. Georges Avenue and noted signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently charged. He will appear in court on November 28th.

3) Just after 1:30 pm on the 22nd of October a vehicle operated by 53-year old Gord Frost of 532 Northland Road was involved in a hit and run motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Bruce Street. A van was stopped for a red light on Wellington Street East at Bruce Street. It is alleged that the accused ran into the rear of the van with his pickup truck and left the area. Officers located the accused in his vehicle a short time after the incident and as a result the accused was placed under arrest. The accused has been charged with one count of fail to remain at an accident and one count of fail to provide a sample He will appear in court on November 27th.

Vehicle Mischief

18-year old Matthew Bernard of 26 Essex Lane was arrested on the 22nd of October and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused shot out the rear window of a vehicle on Lorna Driver with a pellet gun. The accused will appear in court on November 27th.
