The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 23 year-old male was arrested on the 13th of October at 4:53 am at an east end residence and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm.
The following five persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 23 year-old male was arrested on the 13th of October at 4:53 am at an east end residence and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 13th of October at 3:00 am the accused assaulted his girlfriend at her east end residence by punching her in the face. The victim was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

2) A 35 year-old male was arrested on the 13th of October at 8:45 am at a west end residence and charged with three counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused attended at the west end residence of his ex-girlfriend in the early morning hours on the 13th of October, got into a verbal argument with her, and refused to leave. When officers attended they found the accused to be under the influence of alcohol and a check revealed he was on a recognizance with conditions not to consume any alcohol, not to attend at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and not to communicate or associate with her.

3) City police stopped and checked a vehicle on Korah Road on the 14th of October at 11:18 pm and the driver and passenger were arrested: 26 year-old Amanda Bouchard of 5 Lewellyn Beach, Richards Landing, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of breach of probation and also one count of obstruct peace officer from a previous outstanding warrant. The probation charge was for breaching her curfew hours - she was to be in her place of residence at 11 pm.

4) The driver, 38 year-old Joseph Folgora of 268 Huron Street was charged with for three counts of breach of a release document. The accused was driving while under suspension. The accused was also on a recognizance with curfew conditions to be in his place of residence at 11 pm and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

5) 35 year-old James Syrette of 181 Elgin Street was arrested on outstanding warrants on the 13th of October at 3:50 am on Hughes Street and charged with three counts of fail to appear court.

Four People Charged with Mischief

City police were dispatched to the Elliott Road Sports Field area on the 14th October around 3:15 am for a vehicle that had been driving erratically possibly causing damage to fences and the filed areas. When police attended it is alleged that they located the vehicle, a Honda Accord stuck in the mud and grass area of the soccer field on top of the hill. There were four persons located around the vehicle. Officers checked the area and discovered a large area of the soccer fields to be torn up and several ‘doughnut’ type tire tracks. The ball diamond was also found torn up and chain link fencing and posts surrounding it were damaged.

As a result the following four persons were arrested and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00.

1) 24 year-old Michael Allen of 13 St. Mary’s Avenue
2) 19 year-old Joshua Maitland of 301 Doncaster Road
3) 23 year-old Curtis Groskleg of 1336 Peoples Road
4) 21 year-old Melissa Vowels of 1336-A Peoples Road.
They are all to appear in court on the 19th of November.

Youth Robbed of Jacket

On the 13th of October at 5:00 pm City police responded to a complaint from a 16 year-old male youth that was robbed of his jacket while waiting at the bus stop at John and Albert Street West. On this date at approximately 4:30 pm the youth that was at the bus stop was approached by two males not known to him that demanded his jacket and made threats to stab him if he didn’t give it to them. Both males were described as being 17 or 18 years of age, dark short hair, zipped up hoodies and blue jeans. The two males fled on foot into the alley way with the victim’s jacket. The jacket that was stolen was black and white nylon with a New York insignia on it. The victim was not physically harmed and no weapon was produced.

The following break and enters were reported over the weekend:

1) A residence on McKenzie Avenue was entered around 8:30 pm on the 12th of October. A DVD player and web cam for a computer were reported stolen.
2) The Dennis Street Store was entered on the 13th of October at 2:52 am. Cigarettes were reported stolen.
3) A garage on Killarney Road was entered and vehicle was gone through overnight on the 12th-13th of October. It is not known if anything was taken.
4) A garage on Old Garden River Road was entered sometime between the 11th and 13th of October. Two mountain bikes were reported stolen.
5) A garage on Killarney Road was entered between the 12th of October after 10 pm and the 13th of October. Vehicle was gone through. There was nothing reported taken.
6) A garage on Gladstone Avenue was entered on the 13th of October. Two bicycles were reported stolen.
7) A gage on Old Garden River Road was entered sometime between 12 am and 7 am on the 13th of October. Some liquor, a folding knife and fishing tackle were reported stolen.
8) Bawating High School on North Street was entered on the 13th of October around 10:50 pm. Officers responded to an alarm. The area was searched with negative results. Two computers were reported stolen.
9) A residence on John Street was entered sometime between 10:30 am on the 13th of October and 5:30 pm on the 14th. Tools and pills wee reported stolen.
10) There was an attempt break and enter to a residence on Market Street on the 14th of October around 6:45 pm. The homeowner heard the suspects attempting to break in and they were scarred off when the resident opened the blinds on the window. The youths were described as two youths, one wearing a dark vest and were last seen running into the bush area.

The following mischief reports were taken over the weekend:

1) Eggs were thrown at a residence on John Street for the second time in the past two weeks.
2) A vehicle was damaged that was parked in a driveway on Albert Street East sometime on the 14th of October. The steering column was damaged, the permits for the vehicle were burned in the ashtray and there was graffiti scratched on the vehicle.
3) A window of a residence on Lake Street was struck with a paintball on the 13th of October around 7 pm.
4) Windows of a residence on Albert Street West were smashed out and a car in the driveway had windows broken overnight on the 13th of October.
