Two males were arrested at the Sault Ste Marie Court house today on outstanding warrants. 39-year old Michael Paquin of Albert St. E.

Two males were arrested at the Sault Ste Marie Court house today on outstanding warrants. 39-year old Michael Paquin of Albert St. E. was charged with breaching a condition of his Recognizance which required him to report to the City Police during certain hours which he failed to do. It was also determined that he failed to notify a change of address and a second breach charge was added.

42-year old Jeremy Meloche of Pittsburgh St. was charged with breaching his Recognizance as well. His condition required him to attend for fingerprints which he failed to do so. A second charge was added as well which required him to notify change of address.

Both accused will be appearing in Bail Court on November 3.

On November 1, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. police arrested 39-year-old Sara Whitfield of Huron Street. It is alleged that the accused became involved in a confrontation with the victim, who was in her vehicle. The accused grabbed onto the victim car window and smashed it. The accused has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and will appear in court on December 7.

On November 1, 2015 at 4 p.m. police arrested 28-year-old Ashley Manitowabi of Constellation Place. It is alleged that the accused attended a hilltop store and concealed $32.75 worth of merchandise. The accused than left the store failing to pay for the concealed items. The accused was arrested by store security and has been charged with theft under $5,000. The accused will appear in court on December 7.

On November 1, 2015 at 7:50 p.m. police arrested 18-year-old Nick Miceli. It is alleged that on October 30 the accused was presenting himself as security for a youth dance at a local hall. The accused approached a 15-year-old boy and allegedly knocked him to the ground by head-butting him. When the victim stood up the accused allegedly sucker punched him in the face. The victim suffered a broken nose and a chipped tooth. The accused has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and will appear in court on December 7.

On November 1, 2015 at 9:30 p.m. police arrested a 36-year-old male. It is alleged that on October 31 the accused came up behind a male known to him and choked him unconscious. The victim woke a short time later and suffered no injuries. The accused has been charged with assault and will appear in bail court on November 2.

On November 2, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. police investigated a 15-year-old male acting suspiciously in the area of Estelle Street. A check on the male found that he was wanted for breaching his probation order. The accused was arrested and charged for breach of probation. The accused will appear in court on December 1.

A garage on Curran Street was entered sometime on November 1. The culprits damaged the ignition of the vehicle parked inside when attempting to steal it.

On November 1, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. an unknown male attended a residence on Black Road indicating he was interested in a boat for sale. When the home owner was distracted the culprit broke into the residence and stole a quantity of cash. The elderly owner confronted the culprit as he was leaving the residence and was assaulted. The victim was not injured. The culprit is described as a male, white 35 years old with reddish hair. The culprit was driving a navy blue vehicle. This investigation is continuing.
