Amber Wilson-Vincent, 19 yrs, of Lakeshore Drive, Laird Twp., was arrested on May 27, 2013 at the Courthouse in regard to a warrant request.

Amber Wilson-Vincent, 19 yrs, of Lakeshore Drive, Laird Twp., was arrested on May 27, 2013 at the Courthouse in regard to a warrant request.  Wilson-Vincent was charged with CDSA 4 (1) X 3 as a result of a vehicle stop by City Police on May 16, 2013 in which marijuana, ecstasy and hashish  were located.  Co-accused Leslie Nicholson was charged at that time.  Wilson-Vincent will be appearing in court on July 8, 2013.

Update: Missing People Located

47 year old Robert Pilot and his 11 year old daughter Danielle have both been located safe and sound.  Both individuals have now returned home.  The two were believed to be missing after they did not return home from a camping trip in the Ranger Lake area.  The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reminds the public that when you are traveling it is important to let family and friends know where you will be and when you will be returning.  Thank you to each member of the public who called in various tips to assist in locating these individuals.

Tires were reported to have been slashed on vehicles parked in two separate driveways in the 100 block of Alpine Street.

A resident in the 100 block of Johnson Avenue reported that sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., someone entered their residence through an unlocked door and stole his prescription pain medications.

On the 26th of May shortly after 8:00 p.m., a couple parked their vehicle in a parking behind the Pita Pitt on Queen Street.  They returned to the vehicle about 5 minutes later to discover that the passenger side window had been smashed out and a purse stolen.  The purse was found a short distance away but a wallet was missing containing approximately $500 Canadian and $260 American money along with credit cards and identification.

An 18 year old male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for one count of breach of probation.  It is alleged that he breached a probation order he entered into when he was a young person by failing to report to his probation officer as directed.  He will be appearing in court on July 9th

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in locating two overdue campers. 

47 year old Robert Pilot and his 11 year old daughter Danielle Pilot left to go camping on Friday evening and have yet to return. 

It is believed that they were headed to the Ranger Lake area. 

They were in a 2010 Dodge extended cab truck, silver in color with the company name “Novenco” on the side and a 14 foot aluminum boat in the back.

Robert Pilot is described as approximately 5’8”, 250 lbs, brown eyes, heavy build, thick mustache, short brown hair and always wears a ball cap.

Danielle Pilot is described as 5” tall; 70lbs, brown eyes, very small build, and long straight brown hair.
