SUSPECT HAD STOLEN PROPERTY
William Lawrence Flemming, age 18 of 134 McNabb Street, was arrested and charged with 1 count of theft over $5000, 4 counts of possession of stolen property, 1 count of public mischief and 1 count of possession of a controlled substance.

It is alleged that Flemming had in his possession a patio set that was reported stolen from a trailer that was parked at the Wal-Mart store, that he had 150 cases of Sleemans beer that was stolen from a trailer that was parked at the Water Tower Inn, that he had in his possession appliances and electronic equipment that was reported stolen from a trailer in the Zellers lot on Northern Avenue and that he possessed work clothes that were reported stolen from a BPX vehicle that was parked on Oxford Avenue.

Mr. Flemming is also accused of reporting a vehicle stolen that he had borrowed from a person known to him. Officers from the Detective branch of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed a search warrant on Flemming’s residence and found him to be in possession of approximately 10 grams of hash oil. Flemming was scheduled to appear in bail court on the weekend.


AVOIDED FINGERPRINTING
Bruce John Tangie, age 26 of 651 Lennox Avenue, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints on February 20th. Tangie is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.

48 year-old Jolanta Zenka turned herself in to city police in regards to an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that Zenka failed to appear for prints scheduled for November 24th, 2003. Ms. Zenka is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.


ARRESTED ON IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE
36-year-old Donald James Seabrook of 60 Sutton Place was arrested at 7:38 Saturday morning for impaired driving and over 80 mg. Seabrook is alleged to have been driving erratically on McNabb Street when he was stopped and checked by patrol officers. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.


BREACH OF PROBATION
Kevin Perrault, age 28 of 14 Whiskey Jack Road Garden River was charged with breach of probation on the weekend. It is alleged that Perrault was at the Northern Treatment Center on Friday evening to serve his intermittent sentence after he had consumed alcohol. Perrault is on a condition not to consume alcohol when attending the treatment center. A May 3rd court date has been set.


ANOTHER IMPAIRED CHARGE
Benjamin John Crowle, age 22 of 46 Ashgrove Avenue, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and failing to supply samples of his breath.

Crowle was stopped and arrested at approximately 3:20 on Sunday morning on Fourth Line East when he was arrested for impaired driving. At the city police station it is alleged that Crowle refused to supply samples of his breath for analysis. Mr. Crowle will appear in court on May 3rd.


LEFT WITHOUT PAYING BILL
Kevin Jarvis, age 25 of Cambridge Ontario has been charged with fraudulently obtaining accommodation and breach of probation.

It is alleged that between February 25th and March 10th that Jarvis stayed at the Villa Inn on Great Northern Road and left on March 11th without paying his bill.

At the time Jarvis was also on a probation order to keep the peace and be good. The total bill was $570.85. Jarvis is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.


OBSTRUCTING POLICE
An incident at an Albert Street residence resulted in 3 arrests. Officers were called to the residence and arrested Darwin Roote, age 27 of Owen Sound, at 4:08 pm yesterday for threatening death; resisting arrest and breach of probation after Roote had allegedly threatened to kill the complainant if police were called.

When an officer arrived Roote resisted being arrested and was found to be on a probation order to keep the peace and be good.

While Roote was being arrested David Dampier, age 32 of 208 Queen Street and 33-year-old Clifford Neveau of 676 Queen Street interfered with police and attempted to get Roote away from the officers despite being warned.

Both men are charged with obstructing police and Neveau has an additional charge of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose as he is alleged to have been brandishing a knife when he was at the Albert Street apartment.

Roote and Neveau will appear in bail court this morning and Dampier is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.
