ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT On the March 2, 2003, at about 2:00a.m.
ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
On the March 2, 2003, at about 2:00a.m. at Madison's Bar, located at 704 Pine Street, the accused, Kim Danz, age 25 of 130 Old Mill Road, Heyden, assaulted a 19-year-old male by punching him in the head causing some swelling and pain behind his right ear.

He then left the bar. On March, police officers located the accused and he was arrested for Assault and Breach of Probation. He will appear in court April 28th.


MAN ASSAULTS & THREATENS WOMAN
On Saturday at approximately 11:00 am, Robert Paquette, age 60 of 414 Wellington Street East threatened to kill a 48-year-old female and then assaulted her by kicking her in the stomach.

The incident occurred at an Albert Street East address. Officers arrested and charged Paquette with Assault and Threatening. He will appear in court on April 28th.


ARRESTED FOR MISCHIEF
On the March 7, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Krystal Hart, age 18 of 4 Lynn Road # A, allegedly kicked and broke a window at 540 Albert Street East (Ontario Works) causing approximately five hundred dollars in damage.

She then fled the area. On Saturday 5:48 p.m., patrol officers arrested the accused Krystal Hart for Mischief. She will appear in court on April 28th.


ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
Last Friday, the accused, Mark Strain, age 18 of 130 Arden Street, was walking on Wellington Street and confronted the victim, a 19-year-old male, at which time he punched the victim on the left side of the head. The victim then ran to RBC Securities and called the police. As a result of this investigation, on Saturday at 6:40 pm, patrol officers arrested the accused for Assault. He will appear in court April 28th.


SHOPLIFTER ARRESTED
On Saturday, the accused, a 15-year-old female from Manitoulin Island, was arrested by a Wal-Mart security officer for Theft under $5000. The accused was observed to take a black sash valued at $19.93 and wrap it around her waist.

The accused walked around the store and later removed the price tag. The accused allegedly later left the store not paying for the sash. Accused was approached by the security officer and returned to the security office.

Police officers were called and charged the female youth with Theft under $5,000.00. She will appear in court in late April.


ASSAULT BREAKS VICTIM'S TOOTH
Yesterday at approximately 12:30 a.m., the accused, Shayne Bell, age 22 of Fort Francis Ontario went to the residence of the victim on Pine Street.

The accused was angry with the victim and punched the 21-year-old male victim in the face with a closed fist. The victim suffered a broken left front tooth and cut to his lower lip.

Shayne Bell also allegedly smashed a 13-inch colour television belonging to the victim. Patrol officers arrested and charged him with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Mischief under $ 5,000.00. He will appear in bail court.


DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Yesterday, the accused, a 27-year-old male returned to his Wellington Street West address and became involved in a domestic dispute with his 23-year-old spouse.

The accused argued with the victim complaining that she was having other men over. He then punched her in the head and banged her head against the fridge. As a result police officers were called and the accused was arrested for Assault. He will appear in bail court.


MAN THREATENS WOMAN
Yesterday at 1:30 p.m., at a group home, the accused, a 17-year-old male threatened a female staff member by saying, "He would hire a hit man and have him take care of her". The accused was already in custody.

Patrol officers were called to the home and the accused was arrested and taken to the district jail. He has been charged with threatening and Breach of Probation. At the time of incident the accused was on a probation order to keep the peace and be good. He will appear in bail court today.


ACCUSED OF SHOPLIFTING
Yesterday at 11:20 a.m., the accused, Luke Booth, age 19 of 141 Alexandra Street, allegedly concealed merchandise from Canadian Tire. The accused left the store without paying and was subsequently arrested by store security.

Sault Ste Marie police officers were called and continued the arrest. The accused was charged with Theft under $5,000.00 and will appear in court April 28th.


BREAK & ENTERS
On Saturday, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated two break and enters. Thieves broke into Repeat Rentals on Railroad Avenue where the lock on the front door was broken and thieves gained entry.

Sometime after 10:00 pm Friday night and 10:00 am Saturday morning, the Pro Shop at the Rhodes Centre had the lock spun on the front door and thieves stole a small quantity of cash.

On March 16th, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was called upon to investigate three more break and enters. At 8:20 am, police officers were advised that thieves had entered Hogan's Office Supply at 797 Queen Street East. Thieves again spun the lock on the door and stole a small quantity of cash along with a computer hard drive. The suspects also damaged the rear door. This break in occurred sometime between 2:00 pm on Saturday and 8:00 am on Sunday.

At 10:15 pm police were advised that thieves had broken a classroom window at Bay view School on Pittsburgh Avenue Nothing appeared missing, although a cupboard had been disturbed and some gym equipment moved. And at 10:30 pm Police were notified to a break-in at a residence on Lynn Road.
