Mac's Mart Robbery On Friday March 9th at approx. 6:30 Pm a lone male entered the Mac’s Mart at 271 Dacey Rd. and robbed the lone clerk. During the robbery the suspect pulled out a large knife and demanded money from the clerk.

On Friday March 9th at approx. 6:30 Pm a lone male entered the Mac’s Mart at 271 Dacey Rd. and robbed the lone clerk. During the robbery the suspect pulled out a large knife and demanded money from the clerk. Suspect received a small amount of cash and fled south on Dacey Rd. Suspect is described as: Male, white, approx. 5’6” tall, medium build, black hair and black goatee. Last seen wearing a baby blue hoody and light blue track pants. Break & Enters

Sault Ste Marie City Police are investigating four break and enters from the weekend. Break-ins were reported at a residence in the 200 block of Second Line W. – unknown what was taken. A residence in the 100 block of St. Andrews Terr. – fishing equipment was taken. A residence in the 100 block of Terry Fox Pl. where electronic equipment was stolen. There was also an attempted break and enter to a shed in the 100 block of Allen St.

Three Counts of Threatening

Early this morning the Sault Ste Marie City Police arrested a 46-year-old male and charged him with three counts of threatening. It is alleged that the accused threatened to kill three persons known to him. The charges stem from a domestic situation. The accused will be appearing in bail court today.

Domestic Disputes

1. On Saturday March 10th at approx. 6:50 Pm Sault Ste Marie City Police arrested a 22-year-old male as a result of a domestic dispute. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by slapping her in the face and then threatened to kill her. Furthermore at the time of this offence the accused was on probation. The accused is charged with: Assault, Threatening Bodily Harm or Death and Breach of Probation. He will be appearing in bail court today.

2. At approx. 7:45 Pm on Saturday March 10 Sault Ste Marie City Police were called to a downtown residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers were informed that the victim had been punched in the face and scratched by the accused. A 29-year-old female is charged with assaulting her common-law boyfriend. The victim did not require medical attention for his injuries. The accused will be appearing in bail court today.

Impaired Driving

At approx. 1:30 Am Sunday March 11th Sault Ste Marie City Police stopped a vehicle that had been driving erratically on Pine St. Upon speaking to the driver the officers determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. As a result the driver, 29-year-old Keith Nardi, of 22 Edinburgh St., was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving and Drive with Over 80mgs of Alcohol. He will be appearing in court on April 16th.

Domestic Dispute
On Friday March 7th Sault Ste Marie City Police attended an east end residence in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers were informed that the victim’s 24-year-old boyfriend had assaulted her. The victim reported being punched, slapped and choked by the accused. It is further alleged that the accused smashed a cordless telephone when the victim attempted to call the police and also broke a door at the victim’s residence. The victim did not require medical treatment for her injuries. The accused male will be appearing in bail court on charges of assault and two counts of mischief.
