AUTOS DAMAGED ON WEEKEND The Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to 213 calls for assistance over the weekend. Several of these calls were in regards to vehicles damaged.
AUTOS DAMAGED ON WEEKEND
The Sault Ste Marie Police Service responded to 213 calls for assistance over the weekend. Several of these calls were in regards to vehicles damaged.

Autos were damaged in the 100 block of Chambers Avenue, the 400 block of Whitney Avenue, the 100 block of Goulais Avenue, the 100 block of Alpine Street, the 300 block of Cheshire Road and the 100 block of Terry Fox Place.


STOLEN VEHICLES
There were three reports of vehicles being stolen over the weekend. Two have since been recovered. Still outstanding is a green 1995 Dodge Caravan licence #ANSE 059. This vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Casino yesterday at about 1:00 am.


BREAK & ENTRY
Two premises were entered this past weekend. One entry was to a residence in the 300 block of Bush Street. In this incident, the suspect(s) entered the residence, via the front door, while the homeowner was in the backyard. In the second incident, one section of the residence at Sault College was entered.


TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS
Other items of interest include two personal injury accidents. The first took place at 1:10 am on June 28 at Trunk Road just west of Dacey. In this accident a pedestrian failed to check for traffic prior to crossing Trunk Road.

He was struck on the knee by a westbound transport. Victim, Adam Reed, age 20 of 35 Pelican Drive was taken to hospital by ambulance. He had been drinking at the time of the incident.

The second accident involving a single motor vehicle took place on Second Line W. In that accident Kyle Pandzic, age 20 of 308 Ironside Drive lost control of his vehicle while travelling west bound at an estimated speed of about 80 km/h, and struck a culvert causing his vehicle to roll over.

Mr. Pandzic was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries and released. He was then arrested for Impaired Driving. He will be appearing in court on Aug 11 at 9:00 am.
