The follow persons will be appearing in bail court today: 1) On Sunday June 24th at approx. 5:15 pm City Police attended at a west end address in regards to a domestic dispute.
The follow persons will be appearing in bail court today:

1) On Sunday June 24th at approx. 5:15 pm City Police attended at a west end address in regards to a domestic dispute. Investigating officers discovered that the male party was on conditions not to communicate and to stay away from the female party. As a result a 44-year-old male was arrested and charged with eleven counts of breach of probation.

2) On Friday June 22 at approx. 6:45 pm the Sault Ste Marie Police Service received a complaint of a purple coloured Ford Explorer being driven in a dangerous manner. Upon investigating the officers located the vehicle and arrested the male driver. A 46-year-old male is charged with dangerous driving, drive while disqualified and breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that the accused drove his vehicle directly at two females walking on Wemyss St. causing them to flee onto the front lawn of a residence. The accused then circled the block and again drove at the complainants. The accused and victims are known to each other. At the time of this offence the accused was on an undertaking to not molest, harass or annoy one of the victims.

3) A 39-year-old male was arrested early this morning and charged with two counts of breach of a recognizance and one count of threatening. It is alleged that between June 21st and 24th the accused threatened a female known to him by relaying messages that she was going to die. At the time of these offences the accused was on a release order with conditions that he not communicate with the victim. The incident occurred in the west end .

4) A 22-year-old male was arrested June 23rd and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a female known to him. The victim did not require medical attention. The incident occurred in the downtown area.

5) On Saturday June 23 at approximately 2 a.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a complaint of persons in a vehicle pointing a firearm at other motorists. At approximately 2:15 a.m. a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle was stopped on Allard Street. As a result of police investigation five persons, two young [people] and three adults were arrested. It is alleged that a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Jaclyn Hurst, pointed a weapon at other vehicles while the vehicle was being driven on Carmen's Way. When police stopped the vehicle an air gun was located along with housebreaking tools. All persons in the vehicle were jointly charged with possession of the weapon and housebreaking tools.

Charged are:

1. A 17 year-old-male will be appearing in bail court on one charge of weapon dangerous to public, one count of possession of housebreaking tools and three counts of breach of probation.

2. Jaclyn Hurst, age 25 , of 36 Nichol Ave is charged with one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and one count of possession of housebreaking tools. She will be appearing in bail court today.

3. Daryl Morine, age 21 of 46 Alden Rd, is charge with one charge of weapon dangerous to public and one count of possession of housebreaking tools. He will be appearing in bail court today.

4. Jordan Morrar, age 18, of 36 Nichol Ave, is charged with one charge of weapon dangerous to public, one count of possession of housebreaking tools. Mr. Morrar will be appearing in court on July 30th at 9:00 am.

5. A 17-year-old female is also charged with one charge of weapon dangerous to public, one count of possession of housebreaking tools. She will be appearing in court on July 31st.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated four break and enters over the weekend. Break-ins were reported at:

1. A residence in the 100 block of Churchill Blvd. Tools and a bike were taken from the garage.
2. A residence in the 100 block of Plaintree Dr. A set of golf clubs was taken from the garage.
3. A residence in the 100 block of Carol Crt. Gardening tools were taken from a shed.
4. A residence in the 500 block of Albert St. W. Electronic equipment was taken from the residence.

Wal-Mart Phone Scam

On Saturday June 23rd the Sault Ste Marie Police Service received a report from the manager of Wal-Mart that several customers had been contact about winning “A trip of a lifetime”. The winners were advised that to redeem their prize they only had to provide the caller with their credit card number for processing purposes.
Wal-Mart wants to advise the public they are not offering any such promotion. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service wants to remind the public that you should never give out your credit card number to anyone- especially someone calling you and telling you won something.
