CAR ROLLS OVER On Saturday at 8:50 p.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a motor vehicle collision on Trunk Road.
CAR ROLLS OVER
On Saturday at 8:50 p.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a motor vehicle collision on Trunk Road. The details of the accident are as follows: Kristie Wolsey, age 21 of 53 Park Street, was driving her vehicle west on Trunk Road in the passing lane following a vehicle being driven by Kerry O'Connor.

When the O'Connor vehicle slowed down for traffic Wolsey was too close and had to swerve to the right to avoid a collision. In doing so Kristie lost control of her vehicle and it rolled over when it went off the road. Miss Wolsey suffered minor injuries. Wolsey was charged with Following Too Closely.


WEEKEND INCIDENTS
Other incidents of note over the weekend: On Saturday at 2:10 a.m., a fight outside the White Eagles Club on Goulais Avenue resulted in charges being laid against Cheryl Lynn Kwissiwa. It is alleged that Kwissiwa assaulted a 47-year-old female by pulling her hair and punching her. The victim and accused are known to one another. Kwissiwa will be appearing in court on Aug 11th at 9:00 a.m.


BREAK & ENTERS
There was one break and enter and two attempted break and enters over the weekend. The break-in took place in the 100 block of Prentice Avenue. Thieves stole a purse from this residence. The attempted entries took place at addresses in the 100 block of Drake Street where unknown person(s) tried to gain entry via a second floor window, and to an address in the 100 block of Gore Street.


WEEKEND MISCHIEF
There were several reports of mischief over the weekend. Two vehicles parked on Boundary Road had their mirrors broken by vandals. Unknown persons egged a house in the 100 block of Pageant Drive.

Youths were again throwing eggs at cars on Peoples Road over the weekend. This time the incident was in the area of Peoples Road and Tallack Boulevard.


THEFTS
A 1988 blue 4-door Oldsmobile Cutlass was reported stolen from an address in the 500 block of Wallace Terrace. Another theft of note was that of a four-foot totem pole stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Hussey Street.
