Arrest:

Arrest warrant executed regarding domestic matters – The accused age 36 was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Breach of Probation X 4. Further on this date the accused the accused was charged with 3 more counts of breach of probation.  The accused will appear in bail court on July 31, 2012 at 10:00am.

Break and Enter: Break in over the weekend at a local business in the east end of the city – Computer equipment was taken.  

Mischief: 27 Panels of concrete panels damaged in the 400 block of Second Line West.

Morning Report

Arrests/Charged Persons:

Mark Anthony DEMARCHI, age 51, of 603 Second Line West was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and fail to provide a breath sample.  At the time of his arrest he was driving and as a result he has also been issued a summons under the Provincial Offences Act for drive while under suspension and drive without insurance. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.

At approximately 11:45 p.m. police responded to a call for a male that had apparently swam across the St. Mary’s River from the U.S. with a backpack and some sort of flotation device.  Police attended the former General Hospital site with officers from Canada Customs and apprehended a 31 year old American citizen identified as Louis FORTIER (no fixed address).  He was turned over to Canada Customs and Immigration.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:

A break and enter was reported to a space rented on lower Pim St.  Locks were cut off and doors kicked in sometime between 1a.m. and 10 a.m. 29 July 2012.  Musical equipment was stolen.

A break and enter was reported in the 100 block of Churchill Blvd which occurred sometime since Saturday.  Jewelry was taken.
