Media release July 29 2013 4:33 p.m On July 29th Andrew Case, age 19 of no fixed address was arrested at the Court House at 426 Queen St. East. Officers learned that Case was wanted for assaulting an adult male from an incident on July 11th.

On July 29th Andrew Case, age 19 of no fixed address was arrested at the Court House at 426 Queen St. East. Officers learned that Case was wanted for assaulting an adult male from an incident on July 11th. The victim received minor injuries in the incident. Case has been been charged with Assault and will appear in bail court on July 30th.

Arrests

24 year old male Taylor Reid of 361 Wellington East was arrested on outstanding warrants. It is alleged that the accused failed to re-attend court on May 22 2013 on 3 counts of breach of probation charges. He is scheduled to now appear in court on August 26.

Break and Enters

A break in was reported to a business in the 100 block of Second Line West., the rear door of the business was kicked in but nothing appears to have been taken.

Arrests and Property Offences from the Weekend

On the 27th of July 2013 at approximately 10 pm Fire Services and the City Police attended at a centrally located apartment building after reports were received of the fire alarm going off in the building and smoke in the hallway.  Information was also received that several male youths had entered the building and pulled the fire alarm before running away from the building. A fire extinguisher in the building was also discharged.  Officers were able to determine that a 16-year-old male was responsible for discharging the fire extinguisher. The investigation is continuing.  The 16-year old male has been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and will appear in court on September 3rd.

Shortly before 4 am this morning City Police received a 911 from a female reporting that her boyfriend was at her west end residence and had assaulted her.  Officers attended at the victim’s residence and learned that the male had assaulted the victim by pushing her against a door and hitting her in the face.  She did not require medical treatment.  The 35-year old male has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in bail court this morning.

On the 27th of July a Karakoram mountain bike, black in colour with grey lettering, was reported stolen from the 100 block of Second Line West.

On the 27th of July a vehicle on Goulais Avenue was entered and a wallet and contents were taken. Another homeowner of Goulais Avenue also reported a theft of a GPS from their vehicle as well.

Between the 26th of July at 11 pm and 12 pm on the 27th of July a vehicle was broken into on Dennis Street.  A Nexus card was reported stolen.
