ONE ARRESTED IN RIDE CHECKS On Friday, July 26, until early Saturday morning the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service conducted a RIDE spot check for drinking drivers. The Officers checked 400 vehicles and conducted 10 roadside tests.

On Friday, July 26, until early Saturday morning the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service conducted a RIDE spot check for drinking drivers. The Officers checked 400 vehicles and conducted 10 roadside tests. Four persons received a 12-hour licence suspension and one person was arrested for driving over the legal limit of .08.

At 1:40 am on July 27th RIDE Check Point Officers arrested and charged Adam Simms, age 21, of 30 Broadview Drive. Simms is scheduled to appear in court Sept 9th. He received a 90-day licence suspension as a result of the charge.

POLICE FOLLOW TRAIL OF BROKEN BOTTLES
On Saturday at 2:35 a.m., the Police Service responded to a complaint of a break and enter to the LCBO store in the Station Mall. Investigation revealed that two suspects had gained entry to the store by prying open an exit door. Once inside, they gathered some liquor cases and fled the building running north through the parking lot and onto Bruce St.
