The following Five Persons are to appear in Bail Court this Morning:

1) 53 year-old Peter Mattalo of 55 Johnson Street was arrested on the 24th of July at 8:35 pm at his residence and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm and six counts of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that on the 24th of July around 6:50 pm the accused threatened a male known to him at the Fort Creek Conservation Area on Second Line East. At the time of the incident the accused was on two probation orders with conditions not to communicate, molest, harass or physically interfere with the victim and to keep the peace and be on good behaviour.

2) 19 year-old Kenny Armstrong of no fixed address was arrested on the 25th of July at 7:38 on Queen Street East and charged with one count of Breach of the Peace, one count of Breach of Probation and one count of Breach of Recognizance. It is alleged that on the 25th of July around 7:38 pm the accused was at the city bus terminal and attempting to pick a fight with another male. A the time of the incident the accused was impaired and one probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and officer also discovered that he did not notify them of his change of address as required in a recognizance order.

3) 27 year-old Henry Cadreau and 27 year-old Shaun Mearow of no fixed addresses were both arrested on the 26th of July at approximately 1:50 pm at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre and charged with one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm. It is alleged that on the 5th of July the accused males assaulted a fellow male inmate at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. The victim had to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Officers further discovered that the accused Cadreau advised the same victim the day prior, that he would have to pay him money in exchange for his safety. As result he was also charged with one count of Extortion.

4) 19 year-old Jeremy Miller of 312 Gillies Street was arrested on the 24th of July at 3:10 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm, one count of Threaten to Damage Property, one count of Criminal Harassment and one count of Harassing Telephone Calls. It is alleged that on the 16th of July the accused telephone a person known to him four separate times and harassed him. It is further alleged that during the calls the accused threatened to kill the victim and damage his property.

Impaired Driver Arrested:

28 year-old Jamessa Taylor of 47 Wiber Street was arrested on the 25th of July at 2:31 am on Foster Drive and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Consume over the Legal Limit. It is alleged that on the 25th of July at approximately 2:25 am the accused, who was operating a 1994 Dodge, was checked by city police on Foster Drive and at the time she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. She is to appear in court on the 14th of September.

Male Charged with Thefts from Station Mall LCBO Store:

37 year-old Clinton Perrault of 222 Albert Street East was arrested on the 25th of July at 10:30 am on St. Mary’s River Drive and charged with two counts of Theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 24th of July within a three hour time span, the accused attended on three separate occasions and stole four bottles of vodka from the LCBO store in the Station Mall. The incidents were captured on store video surveillance. He is to appear in court on the 31st of August.

Female Charge with Mischief:

47 year-old Ruth Anne Daigle of 26 Pinder Drive in Prince Township was arrested on the 26th of July at 7:50 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of Mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 21st of July the accused attended at the residence of a person known to her and caused damage to the property by throwing lawn ornaments, upsetting garbage cans and pouring sand on the deck. The accused had been warned previously by police to stay away from the property. She is to appear in court on the 31st of August.

Weekend Property Crimes:

Break and Enters:


• A residence in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue was entered on the 25th of July. Money and cigarettes were reported stolen.
• A Contracting Office in the 1000 block of Great Northern Road was entered sometime overnight on the 25th/26th of July. At this time, it is not known if anything was stolen.
• A residence on Macdonald Avenue was entered sometime between the 25th and 25th of July. A Laptop was reported stolen.
• A residence in the 200 block of James Street was entered over the weekend. At this time it is not known what was taken.
• An attempt break and enter was reported to a garage in the 300 block of East Balfour on the 26th of July.
• A residence in the 200 block of John Street was entered sometime over the weekend. Several items were reported stolen, including guns and a telephone.
• Two males entered a garage in the 200 block of Anna Street around 1:31 am this morning. The complainant heard noises from the garage and when she went to check it out, saw the two males with backpacks run out.
• A resident on Arizona Avenue scarred a male off around 4:15 am this morning that was inside the garage. The male, who was carrying a knife, ran off with beer and some groceries from the garage fridge. He was described as being in his 20’s with black hair, unshaven, wearing white sneakers, blue jeans and a white, black and red coloured windbreaker.

Thefts:

Vehciles were entered in the areas of Paladin Avenue, Alworth Place and Megginson Avenue. Money, a Tom Tom GPS, CD’S and an IPod Touch were reported stolen.

Mischief Reports:

• A chunk of asphalt was thrown through a window of Millie’s Mini Mart on Goulais Avenue.
• Windows of two bus shelters on Wellington Street West were smashed.
