On the 18th of July between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. a home on Parliament Street was broken into. Items taken include a small amount of change and jewellery. On the 19th of July between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. a residence on Grosvenor Avenue was broken into.

On the 18th of July between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. a home on Parliament Street was broken into. Items taken include a small amount of change and jewellery.

On the 19th of July between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. a residence on Grosvenor Avenue was broken into. Items taken include a laptop, an ipod and some jewellery.

On the 20th of July between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. a home in the 400 block of Wellington Street West was broken into. A quantity of jewellery was taken.

On the 20th of July a resident on Norden Crescent inadvertently left their garage door open overnight. Thieves took advantage of this and stole a 2005 Nissan X-Trail. The keys were in the ignition. The vehicle is beige in colour and has an Ontario licence plate of BFLN017. In addition there is rust over the driver’s side wheel well. On July 19, 2014 the accused age 17 went to his now ex-girlfriends residence. It is alleged that the accused was met at the door by a female roommate and was denied entry to the residence. The accused pushed the door open and entered. Attempts were made to have the accused leave but he would not. The accused then shoved the roommate pushing her backward. The accused ex-girlfriend spoke to him and he eventually left the area. On July 20, 2014 the accused was arrested for unlawfully in a dwelling house and assault. The accused will appear in bail court on July 21, 2014 at 10 a.m.
 
On July 20, 2014 at approximately 10:06 p.m., city police responded to a possible motor vehicle collision in the area of Centennial Avenue. A person that witnessed the accident identified the person driving. The accused Jean-Claude Camile Paquette, age 28 of Queen Street East, was arrested for impaired driving. It is alleged that the accused refused to provide a breath sample when requested. The accused stands charged with impaired driving and failing to provide a sample of his breath.  The accused will appear in court on August 25, 2014 at 9 a.m.
 
On July 20, 2014 at approximately 10:35 p.m., city police responded to an impaired driver in the area of Moss Road near Korah Road. On arrival in the area, investigation revealed that a vehicle was swerving on the road and lost control. The vehicle went into the ditch. Emergency Response (Fire Department) was on scene and found the accused Matthew Bruce Wootton, age 27 of Korah Road, in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with his seat belt on. The door of the vehicle had to be forced open. The accused was arrested for care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and having care and control of a motor vehicle while consuming over the legal limit. The accused will appear in court on August 25, 2014 at 9 a.m.
