BANNED COMMUNICATIONS A 51-year old male will appear in bail court today after he communicated with his ex-girlfriend while on a release document that didn’t allow communication with her.

A 51-year old male will appear in bail court today after he communicated with his ex-girlfriend while on a release document that didn’t allow communication with her.

It is alleged that yesterday, the accused left a note for the victim with one of her relatives thereby communicating with her indirectly contrary to the release order. The male was arrested on the 11th by City Police and was charged with one count of breach of a release document.


ARRESTED FOR PHONING HER
A 29-year old male will also appear in bail court today on a domestic related charge. The accused was on a release document with conditions not to communicate directly or indirectly with the victim, his ex-girlfriend.

Yesterday he allegedly contacted the victim by phone in the evening hours. The victim called the police who subsequently arrested and charged the accused with one count of breaching a release document.


IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGE
On the 10th of July around 4:30 am City Police received a call of a male slumped over behind the wheel of a car parked in the 200 block of Dacey Road. City Police arrested Christopher Alfano, age 18, of 48 Muriel Drive for impaired driving and consuming over the legal limit. He will appear in court on August 23rd.


CHARGED WITH THEFT
On the 10th of July Caleb Perreault, age 45, of 340B Highway 17 E, Garden River was arrested by City Police and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that Mr. Perreault went to the LCBO in the Churchill Plaza and left with a bottle of scotch.

Staff from the store notified police and Mr. Perreault was located a short distance from the store and arrested. He will appear in court on August 9th.


STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED
21-year-old Chantal Cyr, of 68 August St, a 15 year-old youth and a 16-year old youth were arrested on the 9th of July, late in the evening, and each charged with break and enter.

In addition to the break and enter charges, Cyr and the 15-year-old were charged with possession of property obtained by crime and the 16-year-old was charged with breach of probation.

It is alleged that on July 6th these individuals entered a home in the 100 block of Hardwood Avenue and removed several electronic items, and some jewellery.

City Police have recovered some of the stolen property such as a video camera, a Sony playstation, a curling iron and an amplifier. The investigation is still ongoing.


BREAK AND ENTERS
City Police received a number of reports of break-ins over the weekend. Late in the day on the 10th, homeowners in the 800 block of Old Garden River Road returned to find their home had been broken into. Thieves made off with a TV, DVD player and a VCR.

On the 11th a home in the 700 block of Third Line East was entered and an undisclosed amount of money was taken in addition to some old coins and alcohol.

Also the on 11th a home in the 300 block of Boundary Road was entered and a quantity of jewellery was taken.

On the 11th the First Baptist Church was Albert St E was reported as having been broken into. Thieves made off with a DVD player.
