28 year old Rosemary Pheasant of 28 B Wellington St E was observed walking in the downtown area. It was learned that she had warrants outstanding for her and she was arrested.

 

28 year old Rosemary Pheasant of 28 B Wellington St E was observed walking in the downtown area.   It was learned that she had warrants outstanding for her and she was arrested.  She will be appearing in bail court on February 19th charged with failing to attend court, failing to attend for fingerprints, theft under $5000 and four counts of breach of probation.

A resident in the 100 block of Coulson Avenue reported that a window in his vehicle was smashed overnight.   A couple of dollars worth of change was reported stolen.  There are no suspects.

A 25 year old male was arrested by City Police officers Sunday night in a domestic related incident. It is alleged the male pushed the female victim down onto a couch and then made threatening comments that he was going to kill her. He was subsequently charged with assault, threatening death and breaching a condition of a Peace Bond which he was also under. The male will be appearing in WASH Court later this morning.

21 year old Wesley Murray of 20 Gemah St. in Garden River was charged by City Police Sunday afternoon after he had been seen stealing various items from vehicles in the Church and Wellington Street areas. When he was arrested, Mr. Murray had several items on his possession which were able to be identified by 2 different complainants. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on March 18th.

City Police received information on February 18th from Elgin County OPP that 35 year old Quentin Carrick may be in the Soo. Mr. Carrick was unlawfully at large from the St.Thomas Ontario Regional Mental Health facility since February 15th. Alert patrol officers checked a local downtown hotel at approximately 2:30 in the morning and located Mr. Carrick in one of the rooms. He was arrested without incident at that time and brought to the City Police station where arrangements are currently being made to transport him back to St.Thomas.
