On February 16, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested 21-year-old Matthew Parise and 22-year-old Dillion Quesnel both of Goulais Av. It is alleged that the two accused broke into a west end apartment and assaulted the occupant.

On February 16, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested 21-year-old Matthew Parise and 22-year-old Dillion Quesnel both of Goulais Av. It is alleged that the two accused broke into a west end apartment and assaulted the occupant. These parties are known to each other. The victim was able to fight off the two accused and call police. Quesnel is charged with break and enter and assault, while Parise has been charged with break and enter, assault as well as threatening to kill the victim and breaching a probation order he was on by failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Both accused were remanded to bail court on February 17.

On February 16, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 24-year-old male in relation to a domestic incident. On February 15, 2015 the accused did not allow his ex-girlfriend to leave his residence when she wanted and used a crossbow to assist him in confining her.  The accused also threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend while pointing a crossbow at her. The accused has been charged with assault with a weapon, threatening death and forcible confinement. The accused will appear in bail court February 17.

On February 15, 2015 store security at Rome’s grocery store apprehended two shop lifters. The two had been observed concealing meat products and leaving the store without making any attempt to pay for the goods. Bradley Sackville age 44 of Farquhar Street and Michelle Collins age 45 of Boron Avenue were arrested for possession of property obtained by crime.  Michelle Collins was also charged with theft under $5000. Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on March 16, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On February 15, 2015 store security at Walmart on Great Northern Road apprehended a female shop lifter. The accused was in the electronic department and selected various items. The accused left the store and was apprehended and a quantity of jewelry, cosmetics and electronics was seized. The accused Shannon Nicole Boyer, age 33 of John Street, was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On February 15, 2015 City Police were in the area of Goulais Avenue and noticed a Black Mazda with several person’s in the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and a check of the driver was done and it was found that he was a prohibited driver. Robert McGregor age 28 of Second Line West was arrested for driving while prohibited and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23, 2015 at 9 a.m.
