Domestic Related Arrests
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26 year-old male wanted on an outstanding domestic related warrant on the 11th of February at the police station and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that he was wanted for assaulting his common law spouse at their residence on the 11th of February. The victim received non-life threatening injuries a result.

Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 39 year-old male wanted on an outstanding domestic related warrant on the 13th of February at his residence and charged him with three counts of assault and two counts of criminal harassment. It is alleged that the accused has been criminally harassing his estranged wife since their break up in the fall of 2010 by following her, continuously calling her and texting her and leaving her obscene messages. The accused had been warned by police in January and continued to harass her. Officers investigating the incident also learned that during their relationship the accused assaulted the victim on three occasions.

Male Arrested for Breaching Probation
Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 19 year-old Brooks Warmington of #218-503 Trunk Road on the 13th of February at 5:20 am on Trunk Road and charged him with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that police checked the accused after he was observed walking around a business property on Trunk Road at around 5:15 am Sunday morning. Officers discovered he was on a probation order with curfew conditions to be in his place of residence from 11 pm to 7 am and was to keep the peace and be good.

Male Arrested for Drug Possession
On the 12th of February at 8:55 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended at 123 Willoughby Street to assist the Fire Department with a fire alarm. Investigation revealed that a resident from the complex was smoking hash oil in the storage room when he set the fire alarm off. The accused fled but was located a short time later on Pine Street. At the time of his arrest he was found in possession of approximately 2.5 grams of hash oil and other drug paraphernalia. As a result the male, 31 year-old Joshua Thibault of #1-123 Willoughby Street was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. He is to appear in court on the 14th of March.

Impaired Driving Arrest
At 10:20 pm on the 11th of February, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 33 year-old Sydney Jones of 126 Greensky Avenue, Garden River, Ontario on Blake Street and charged him with one count of impaired driving, one count of fail to provide breath sample and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on 11th of February at 10:17 pm police received a call about a vehicle in a snow bank at the corner of Blake Avenue at Wawanosh Avenue, with the driver possibly being impaired. Officers attended and located a 2009 Toyota Camry in the northwest snow bank of Blake & Wawanosh Avenue and found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol. The accused way arrested for impaired driving and when officers ran a check on him it revealed that he was on a recognizance of bail to abstain from alcohol. It is further alleged that once at the station, the accused refused to provide a breath sample. He is to appear in court on the 21st of March.

Mischief Reports
• A Boundary Road bus shelter was reported damaged on Sunday evening.
• A vehicle on Wellington Street East was reported keyed overnight on Saturday.
• A vehicle parked at a business on Wellington Street East was keyed and the driver’s side mirror broken off.
