Joshua ROESS, age 21, of no fixed address was arrested this afternoon on outstanding warrants after being transferred to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. It is alleged that on 10 Aug14 at approximately 02:00 hours a male victim gave a female friend a ride to an address on Idaho Drive, the residence of Joshua ROESS. Once inside the residence, the male victim was assaulted by ROESS and a co-accused by being hit in the head twice with a frying pan causing injuries to his head. It is also alleged the victim had a knife held to his neck/throat and was threatened. The victim was then tied to a chair. The victim managed to escape and was further assaulted by both accused ROESS and the co-accused.
At the time of this incident, Joshua ROESS was also bound by the conditions of probation orders therefore he was charged with breach of probation x 4. The co-accused’s matters have concluded in court. ROESS will appear in bail court on Tuesday a.m.
