VICTIM THREATENED WITH DEATH On August 6th at 6:30 a.m., city police were called to 755 Wellington Street East Apt. #6, in regards to a threatening complaint.
VICTIM THREATENED WITH DEATH
On August 6th at 6:30 a.m., city police were called to 755 Wellington Street East Apt. #6, in regards to a threatening complaint. Bernie Agawa, age 50 of that address allegedly had threatened that he was going to kill the complainant when he waved a kitchen knife at him.

The argument seemed to generate from Mr. Agawa being asked to turn down his music. He was subsequently arrested and charged with uttering a threat.

A further police records check showed he was also on probation and was also charged with breach of his probation by not keeping the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in bail court today at 1:30 p.m.


ARRESTED FOR STOLEN VAN
On August 5th at 99 Foster Drive in the early afternoon, city police recovered a stolen van from Brampton Ontario. Joshua Gougeon, age 19, of 221 Mildred Avenue, Innisville Ontario and Bradley Waite age 21, of 27 Avendale Blvd., Brampton Ontario, had been previously arrested for a break and enter to an east end business and were subsequently linked to this vehicle through a forensic investigation.

Charges of possession of stolen property and possession of break-in instruments have been added and both will appear in bail court today.


MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
On August 6th, around 8:00 p.m., officers went to a residence at 770 Pine Street in regards to an assault. An argument broke out between two people, which led to items in a living room being damaged and one of the persons being assaulted by being punched in the face.

After the police investigation, Stewart Grassie age 39, of that address was arrested and charged with assault. A further police records check revealed that Grassie, had outstanding warrants for failing to appear for court. He will appear in court on the September 15.


MAN ASSAULTS WOMAN
City police were called to a residence in the east end of the city over the weekend in regards to a male who assaulted a female. Officers received a complaint of an assault and upon attending at the residence, spoke to the complainant who advised she had been pushed and choked by the accused.

The accused also committed assault with a weapon and breach of probation by throwing an object that missed the victim and breaching his conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court September 15.


MAN MADE THREATS & CAUSED DAMAGE
The result of an argument in the west end of town on the August 6th between two people has one of the parties involved going to court September 15 for uttering threats to cause death and mischief.

During the argument, the accused broke a window at the residence with his hand and also smashed a lawn ornament and threatened to kill the complainant. The accused received minor injuries to his hand.


ARRESTED FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING
On August 6th at 8:40 p.m., Patricia Leclair, age 36 of 62 Adelaide St. was involved in a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot of 275 Second Line West, (Market Mall).

Police attended and spoke to the accused, Patricia Leclair, and could detect a strong odour of alcohol coming from her breath. She was arrested for impaired driving and will appear in court the September 15th.
