Domestic Related Arrests: 1) The only bail court appearance this morning is for a 22 year-old male that was arrested on the 7th of August at 4:02 pm at his residence an charged with one count of Assault.

1) The only bail court appearance this morning is for a 22 year-old male that was arrested on the 7th of August at 4:02 pm at his residence an charged with one count of Assault. It is alleged that on the 7th of August he assaulted his common law partner at their residence.

2) A 19 year-old male was arrested on the 7th of August at 5:40 pm on Queen Street and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm. It is alleged that on the 6th of August while at the Station Mall the accused threatened to assault and harm his ex-girlfriend. He is to appear in court on the 9th of September.

Male Arrested for Impaired Driving:

54 year-old Richard Mooney of #1-17 Terry Fox Place was arrested on the 7th of August at 9 pm at Terry Fox Place and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Consume over the Legal Limit. On the 7th of August just before 9 pm City Police received a call regarding a possible impaired driver on Trunk Road. Officers observed the vehicle pulling into Terry Fox Place and checked the driver. It is alleged that the driver, the accused, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 14th of September.

Male Arrested for Break and Enter:

38 year-old Ronald Stewart of 253 Poplar Avenue was arrested on the 8th of August at 7:23 pm at his residence Avenue and charged with one count of Break, Enter and Commit. It is alleged that on the 8th of August around 7:03 pm the accused broke into a residence on Willow Avenue. He is to appear in court on the 14th of September.

Male Arrested for Theft and Possession of Stolen Property:

56 year-old Ghislain Lebel of #905-70 East Street was arrested on the 8th of August at 11:35 am at the city police station and charged with one count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and one count of Theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that sometime between the 16th and 20th of July the accused stole a Pipe trailer from a business property on Oxford Street. He is to appear in court on the 14th of September.

Female Youth Arrested for Assault:

A 15 year-old female youth was arrested on the 7th of August at 2:50 pm at the city police station and charged with one count of Assault. It is alleged that on the 1st of August around 9 pm the accused assaulted a female victim known to her while at a party in the filed area off Mark Street. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 8th of September.

Property Crimes Reported from the Weekend:

Break and Enter Reports:


• A residence on Manitou Drive was entered on the 9th of August. A flat screen television was reported stolen.
• Zellers on Bay Street was entered on the 9th of August around 6:10 am. Electronics and video games were reported stolen.
• A residence ion the 500 block of Queen Street West was entered on the 7th of August. A LCD television and an Xbox were reported stolen.
• A room at the Algonquin Hotel on Queen Street was entered overnight on the 8th of August. Some cash and clothing were reported stolen.

Theft Reports:

• A 27 inch Electrohome television and a Simplicity refrigerator were reported stolen from the Canadian Motor Hotel on Pim Street.
• A wallet was reported stolen at the Good Life Fitness Centre on the 9th of August.
• A purse was reported stolen from the Sault Casino on the 8th of August.
• A red Macnamara Mountain Bike and a red Supercycle Mountain bike were reported stolen from Chambers Avenue.
• License plates were taken off a vehicle on James Street.
• Vehicles were entered on Second Line West, Robin Street and Cambridge Place. Money, jewellery, a purse and a credit card were reported taken.

Mischief Reports:

• A building and cube van on March Street were spray painted.
• Vehicles were reported damaged on Korah Road and Wilson Avenue.
