DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEADS TO ARREST On Friday the 23rd of April 2004 at approximately 10:00 a.m., City Police responded to a domestic dispute in the west end of the city.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE LEADS TO ARREST
On Friday the 23rd of April 2004 at approximately 10:00 a.m., City Police responded to a domestic dispute in the west end of the city. It appears an argument broke out between two common-law partners, with one threatening to kill the other. The one person, who did the threatening, left the residence and was located outside upon police arrival. The accused was arrested outside without incident.

DRUG BUST
Also on Friday at approximately 6:25 p.m., Police executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant upon the residence at 2A - 331 Wellington Street West, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Police located a total of 136 grams of Cannabis Marihuana and a prohibited weapon (flick knife).

Two occupants of the apartment, Mario Leblanc, age 27 and Penny Cote, age37, both of 2A- 331 Wellington St. West were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Estimated street value of cannabis marihuana seized is $2,720.00. Both will appear in court the 7 May, 2004.

BIKE STOLEN; ARREST MADE
Friday evening, a young offender stole a $300 BMX bicycle. It is alleged that the young person punched the rider of the bicycle in the head, took the bike and rode to an address in the east end of the city and hid the bike.

The accused, known to the victim, was located at the residence where the bike was hidden and was arrested for theft. A further check revealed the young person was on probation to keep the peace. A 6th of May 2004 court date has been set.

DOWNTOWN DOMESTIC DISPUTE
Early Saturday morning, City Police attended the downtown area in regards to a domestic dispute. It appears the two parties involved began to argue after consuming a quantity of alcohol. The victim had been grabbed by the arm and pushed around the residence. The suspect left the residence and re-attended a short time later trying to gain access. The victim was able to contact police and the suspect was located, arrested and charged with assault. A 10th of May court date has been set.

FAILS TO APPEAR IN COURT, ARRESTED AGAIN
Sunday morning at approximately 2:00 a.m., Police attended at 968 Pine Street in regards to a noise complaint. Police had also attended this address on the 22 of Feb. for a similar problem.

At that time, Jason Haynes, age 21 of 19 Princeton Dr. was charged and arrested for causing a disturbance and was to appear in court on the 29th of Mar. 2004. Upon Police arrival on the 25th of April, Police located Haynes at that same residence and arrested and charged him for failing to appear for court on the 29th of Mar. 2004. He has a court date of 14 May 2004
