March break and enter suspect found walking on Wellington: Police

An arrest has been made in connection with a break and enter at a Trunk Road business.

On Monday, the Sault Ste. Marie Police service arrested and charged a 34-year-old as part of the investigation.

On March 31, police responded to an alarm at a business in the 600 block of Trunk Road. When they arrives, police found property that was damaged and an investigation revealed that the business had been broken into and several items were stolen.

A warrant was obtained for the suspect.

On Monday, officers arrested the accused after they were spotted walking on Wellington Street East.

Tyler Dunn has been charged with:

  • break and enter – commit indictable offence
  • theft under $5,000
  • mischief under $5,000
  • fail to comply with probation order (x2)

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in September.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
