A 25-year-old man is accused of throwing a rock through a glass door on Great Northern Road and swinging a metal sign at staff members working at the premises.
Sault police were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Great Northern at around 6 p.m. on July 14. Once there, they found a suspect in the custody of security officers.
“Further investigation revealed when the accused had been asked to leave the premises, they threw a rock at a glass door of the building causing damage and swung a metal sign at staff members,” says a news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
John Tremblay is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon x2
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
Tremblay was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear back in court on Sept. 18, 2023.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Tremblay is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
