Man faces break and enter charges

Police say the 39-year-old committed the act sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 23

A man faces break and enter charges after an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie Police said in a news release issued this afternoon. 

Police say they responded to a call around 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon in regards to a residence in a multi-unit building in the 300 block of Albert St E. had been entered.

Upon investigation, police say they determined that the residence had been entered sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 23 and that property had been damaged and taken.

They then determined that the accused had entered the residence.

He was located later the same day, and as a result Christopher Bisaillon, 39, was arrested and charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Theft under $5,000, and
  • Mischief under $5,000

He was released by way of an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18, 2021.
